Finder was founded in September 2006 on the premise
that searching for the right nanny should be an
easier and more time efficient process than what
is currently offered by existing nanny placement
agencies. After spending four long weeks interviewing
dozens of candidates for our 13 month old son,
we were tired and frustrated with how much time
we spent meeting “great” nannies that
just didn’t satisfy all of our requirements.
Why was this so difficult? ?The root of the problem
lied with the agencies, as they decided which
candidates we would meet in the first place. We
knew most of the nannies were not quite right
for us within the first few minutes of the interview.
If only we had the ability to prescreen applicants.

for all our candidates. This allows the family
to get a better idea of the personality and an
overall impression of a candidate before spending
the time meeting with them. A family can conveniently
schedule in home interviews to meet with candidates
of their choice or to preview and select a babysitter.
